About Us

Admittedly, I was not always a cloth diaper user.  When my first child was born, we started right in with disposables.  I had a friend who started using cloth diapers, but I had no idea just how far they had come.  I had never really bothered to research them becase at the time, I thought cloth diapers were the same ones that our parents had used.   

When my second child was born, I had become more aware of the effect of disposables on the environment.  I had also become much more aware of the slew of chemicals used to manufacture disposable diapers.  I decided to make the switch on both of my children and quickly fell in love with cloth diapering.  What's not to love?  Our kids have pure, clean cloth next to their most sensitive areas, we are saving money and helping to protect our environment.

I am a work at home Mom and starting Great Lakes Diaper Company seemed like the perfect fit.  My husband and I are very excited to have the chance to expose other families to the benefits of cloth diapering.
